The White Gallery team interview Georgia Flynn, Event Director, to find out more about what’s in store for luxury bridal boutiques this May.
What’s White Gallery all about, when is it and who can attend?
White Gallery brings together the world’s most bold and the beautiful designers to present their new collections to the world’s coolest bridal boutiques and international fashion press. The show will be running on 8th and 9th May, and is open to all bridal retailers and press. All you need to do is click here to register for your free ticket!
What do you think makes White Gallery so special this year?
What makes this year’s edition of White Gallery so special is that we have a lot of designers that you can’t see at any other European shows this season. It’s also the first time we’ve run White Gallery as a standalone event since 2017, in a really cool and relaxed environment for buyers to do their next season’s shopping!
Which area of the show are you most looking forward to see come to life?
I’m most looking forward to seeing the whole show come together in its new venue, The Truman Brewery. We’re working with a really cool caterer, Peardrop London, and an amazing floral designer, Wild Renata, who I’m sure are going to make the show look beautiful. We may also have some more surprises up our sleeve for some exciting feature areas... but you’ll have to come along and see them for yourselves!
What’s your fave coffee spot near to The Truman Brewery?
Personally, I need a lot of coffee in the mornings - especially before a big event! My two favourite coffee spots are Oat on Brick Lane, and WatchHouse on Commercial Street. Both are cute and rustic, and only a step away from our venue.
Why should retailers spend a day at White Gallery?
Not only is it so important to keep up to date with trends, but it is a great opportunity to see over 70 designers, many of whom are exclusively showing at White Gallery this season. We can’t wait to have as many of our luxury retailers join us to see what it’s all about!
What three words would you use to describe White Gallery?
Inspirational, contemporary and relaxed!
What food spots would you recommend near to the show?
We’re most looking forward to heading to the food stalls in Spitalfields Market after the show closes, and hopefully also have time for a beigel at Brick Lane Beigels for a quick bite to eat.
Can you give us a cocktail spot you’re hoping to try whilst you’re in Shoreditch?
A cocktail spot the team and I are hoping to try is Callooh Callay on Rivington Street! This cocktail bar is an iconic venue with an eclectic interior and the best cocktails in town - you have to try it for yourself.
