How did it all start for Project.Bridal – how did you fall in love with the industry?
During my own wedding process, I found it very difficult to find the simple and modern design I had in mind while searching for a wedding dress. This led me to realize, as a fashion designer, that bridal is a sector with great potential for development. And so, in 2018, I founded Project.Bridal to meet the needs of modern brides.
What’s your favourite part of your boutique/what’s a hotspot with brides and retailers?
In addition to wedding dresses and mini dresses, we have a large area in our new studio where we can showcase our extensive accessory and new shoe collection. Having our production atelier on the upper floor and two fitting rooms that we can use for different needs during busy times provide us with great practicality. And our large garden is just the cherry on top.
What inspired the design of your studio spaces?
Project.Bridal’s signature design elements include minimalism, reflected in unconventional silhouettes and clean lines. And we are a brand that stands out for carrying this understanding in all areas. We aimed for our new studio to completely represent these design elements and the brand spirit.
What’s included in the Project.Bridal experience?
In our Istanbul studio, all designs are custom-made and sewn from scratch for each of our brides. Every design is open to customization. We offer unlimited options to each of our brides without compromising our brand’s style. Besides this, we also have our bespoke service.
What is your favourite piece from the new collection?
My favourite pieces are definitely our Serafina gown (a mermaid fit crepe gown, featuring a knot detail and basque waist. It holds a completely boned, corseted bodice for full support) and the Mona Cloud Cape (a huge, puffy organza cape, adorned with delicate flowers to make a statement and leave a lasting impression). I love bringing fashion trends that haven’t yet been reflected into the bridal world!
