The Destination: The Hoxton, Shoreditch
Only a 12-minute walk from lively Brick Lane with chic herringbone wood floors and dramatic dark walls, the Hoxton boasts both Peruvian cuisine and a delicious grill restaurant with exposed brick walls, roaring fires and a funky lobby bar.
Housed in a cool brick building in East London (and having one of the most creative communities on its very doorstep) the Hoxton Shoreditch is a high-design hotel with beautiful bar and restaurant spaces. The hotel first launched in 2006, as the neighbourhood of Shoreditch was beginning to emerge as a hot spot of London. To this day, the Hoxton attracts a hip crowd eager to be in the heart of one of the trendiest parts of the capital.
Exposed brick and beams in the lobby lend to a modern industrial vibe, which also features red leather banquettes and curious Victorian-esque paintings of anthropomorphic animals. The Hoxton’s weekly event calendar also brings a cultural vibe, with live bands, wine tastings and more.
The delicious grill restaurant serves familiar American fare, with burgers, Nashville hot fried chicken and mac and cheese. Autumn 2023 saw the arrival of Llama Inn, a Peruvian rooftop restaurant offering some innovative exciting dishes. Some of our favourites include the scallop ceviche, with dragonfruit, yuzu and tiger’s milk, Aji Amarillo curry and the Patarashca - delicious!
